Posted on 22. Oct, 2013 by in Business

In recent times there has been claims that the medical transcription field is falling apart and the medical industry is in shambles. These claims could not be farther from the truth. The medical field is constantly looking for new graduates to fill valuable spots in hospitals and clinics around the country. In many places there is a shortage of valuable medical transcriptionists or MTs. In fact, up to 79% of transcriptionists work from their own home. The pay for MTs is quite good with over 50% earning between $27,420 and $40,820 a year. To become an MT one needs to acquire special training. This specialized medical training can last anywhere between 6-12 months.
